Led the UK bus for the StartupBus Europe 2015 competition, culminating on stage at Pirate Summit in Cologne. Mentored 30 innovators on the road, stopping in tech hubs in 10 cities across 5 countries in 3 days. Partners included British Airways, Incubus London and Ford. Responsible for sourcing sponsorships, managing recruiting, developing partnerships and operating all travel logistics.

 
 

BRITISH AIRWAYS: ALL aboard the startupbus

StartupBusUK content partnership with British Airways, supporting the relaunch of their in-flight magazine Business Life. An embedded reporter came to participate and wrote a piece about the experience; what resulted was a 4 page spread featured on all British Airways flights, seen by 720,000 monthly readers.

Sponsored by Ford Italy, StartupBus 2015 is an “adventure” in which young people are divided into teams and set the task of building and launching their own business. What made the challenge different, is that the teams were tasked with developing their new ideas on a bus as it travels across Europe to Germany. This year's StartupBus theme is gamification, and the “buspreneurs” were challenged to apply the principles and mechanisms of video games to promote smart mobility.
