Worked with the CEO & President to introduce an early stage marketing strategy, implement test core activities (including events to connect engineers and entrepreneurs), source high caliber curriculum developers, explore brand presence options, and to build a narrative around Thinkful on social channels. Fostered internal communication to develop a company culture, helping departments and executives identify needs and talents within the Thinkful community. Initiatives included: producing a weekly video series, leveraging partnerships, cultivating influencers, assisting with 9 course launches, hosting weekly and educational events, developing a SXSW panel, generating an internal culture blog, and empowering mentors (created how-to guides, distributed swag).
#ThinkTanks: Video Series for Developers & Entrepreneurs
Produced a weekly video series featuring industry game changers on various engineering and startup related topics. Initiative spanned 17 weeks and received over 15,000 views. Popular sessions included which programming language to learn first, tips on how to score a job as a junior developer, a discussion on Swift and the future of iOS, and a behind-the-scenes look at bootcamps. Responsible for: curating the topics, sourcing participants, co-hosting and managing the Google+ Hangout logistics.
SXSW Panel: Decoding Gender Diversity in Tech
Orchestrated a SXSW panel on the strategies and tactics being used to encourage gender diversity amongdevelopers. Speakers include: Alexa Scordato (Stack Exchange), Savannah Peterson (Shapeways), Carolina Huaranca (Girls Who Code) and Darrell Silver (Thinkful).
